His real name was Krishnasamy, but he was better known by his stage name Mayilsamy, which means “peacock” in Tamil.

Mayilsamy started his career as a comedian in the Tamil film industry in the early 1990s. He made his debut in the film “En Rasavin Manasile” in 1991, which was directed by Kasthuri Raja. Mayilsamy became popular for his unique style of comedy and his ability to make people laugh with his facial expressions and body language. He soon became a regular in Tamil cinema and worked with some of the top actors and directors in the industry.
Mayilsamy has acted in over 400 films in his career, mostly in supporting roles. Some of his notable films include “Mannan,” “Baasha,” “Padayappa,” “Vikram,” “Ghilli,” and “Sivaji.” He had also acted in a few television serials and had hosted several comedy shows.
Apart from acting, Mayilsamy was also a politician. He was a member of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) party and served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Tamil Nadu constituency of Sriperumbudur from 2011 to 2016.
Mayilsamy has received several awards for his contributions to the Tamil film industry. He won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Comedian for his performance in the film “Mannan” in 1992. He also won the Edison Award for Best Comedian for his role in “Ghilli” in 2005.
