Chanchal Rana IAS is originally from Odisha. He was born in Angul district to Anil Kanta Rana, a retiree from NALCO, and Banjyotsna Rana, a housewife. Received degree from NIT Silchar and started preparing for UPSC. Became IAS in Home Cadre Odisha after getting seventh rank in UPSC Civil Services Examination.
Career:
IAS Chanchal Rana is currently the District Collector of Balangir in Western Odisha. The fact that the Balangir Dairy Summit 2022 (Gopalan Utsav Odisha) was conducted in Kaushal Kala Mandal of the city on 21 December 2022. This gives an idea of DM Rana’s expanding moves towards the milk revolution in Balangir.
Chanchal Rana was the mastermind behind India’s White Revolution. India became one of the world’s top producers of milk as a result of him. An officer of the Odisha cadre of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) is continuing Verghese Kurien’s legacy.

IAS Chanchal Rana got engaged to IAS Ananya Das. Ananya Das IAS is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer who hails from Odisha. Ananya Das is an IAS officer from the Gujarat cadre who graduated in 2015. Although she was originally from Odisha, she permitted a change in her cadre after marrying IAS officer Abdaal M. Akhtar, who is from the Odisha cadre. Ananya Das is currently employed as the Sambalpur Collector. Abdaal M. Akhtar, her first husband, works as a collector in the Korput District. She got divorced from Abdaal M. Akhtar and is now engaged with Bolangir Collector Chanchal Rana. She was born on June 1, 1991, in Bhubaneswar.
Earlier Chanchal Rana was married to Rayagada Collector Swadha Dev Singh And Ananya Das was earlier married to Koraput Collector Abdaal Akhtar.
