Ghattamaneni Mahesh Babu, born on 9 August 1975, is a multifaceted Indian personality celebrated for his roles as an actor, producer, media icon, and philanthropist within the realm of Telugu cinema. With a filmography boasting over 25 movies, Mahesh has earned numerous prestigious awards, including eight Nandi Awards, five Filmfare Telugu Awards, four SIIMA Awards, three CineMAA Awards, and one IIFA Utsavam Award. Regarded as one of the highest-paid actors in the Telugu film industry, he is also the proud owner of the production house G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment.

Born as the younger son of the esteemed Telugu actor Krishna, Mahesh’s journey into the world of cinema commenced at the tender age of four when he made his debut as a child artist in the cameo role of the film Needa (1979). As a child actor, he showcased his talent in eight other films. However, it was in 1999, with his debut as a lead actor in Rajakumarudu, that he truly captured the audience’s attention and was honored with the Nandi Award for Best Male Debut. Notably, Pokiri held the prestigious title of the highest-grossing Telugu film, while Maharshi was honored with the National Film Award for Best Popular Film. Sarileru Neekevvaru, his magnum opus, collected a staggering ₹260 crore at the box office, further solidifying his stature in the industry.

Often referred to as the “Prince” by both the media and his ardent fanbase, Mahesh Babu has become a cornerstone of Telugu cinema’s popularity. His contributions extend beyond the silver screen, as he is deeply involved in humanitarian efforts and philanthropy. He co-founded the charitable trust and non-profit organization Heal A Child, reflecting his commitment to making a difference in the lives of those in need.
